On 31 st May 2024, Zetech University reaffirmed its commitment to education and community development by hosting a pivotal stakeholder meeting at the Thika Road Campus. This event focused on crucial issues impacting education in the Kiambu, Ruiru sub-county, encompassing access, quality, relevance, equity, efficiency, effectiveness, and other emerging concerns. Led by the Sub-County Director of Education including high school principals, public and private sector leaders, Members of Parliament, Members of County Assemblies, the Deputy County Commissioner, religious leaders, and other key education stakeholders, this diverse assembly underscored the need for a collaborative effort to address the multifaceted challenges in the education sector.
Mr. John Njoroge, the Ruiru Sub-County Director for Education, emphasized the importance of collaboration among key education stakeholders to ensure access to quality education. He stressed that education is not a one-person effort but requires dedication from all parties to achieve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. According to Mr. Njoroge, positive changes in education at the national level must begin at the sub-county level.
