The Board of Trustees is the supreme governing organ of the University and is vested with powers to appoint members of the University Council, appoint the University Chancellor, raise funds for the benefit of the University, promote the objects of the University, ensure prudent management of the assets of the University, receive annual audited financial accounts and undertake such other functions or duties as conferred by the Trust Deed, University Charter, University Statutes and legal and regulatory framework to which the University is established.
The Board is composed of eleven members of good standing who are knowledgeable and experienced in matters pertaining to University education. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees is Engineer Ken Mbiuki who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, from the University of Nairobi.
