Zetech promoted to round of 32 in Betway Cup
After securing a place in the Betway Shield Cup round of 32 , Zetech University head coach Bernard Kitolo has outlined his plan to revamp his striking front ahead of the upcoming game.
The Titans eliminated Uprising FC 2-0 at an entertaining showdown at the Ruaraka grounds to promote them to the next round where they will face National Super League side FC Talanta on 15th or 16th February.
Team Coach Kitolo is eager to fine-tune his strikers, whom he noted let go of some clear cut chances in anticipation of a tough Talanta side. “We are anticipating for a tough match as Talanta given the team’s experience. I will be seeking to improve our strikers and as we build on new players, I trust we will secure a good result.” he added.
According to a report on the game by The Star Newspaper, his Uprising counterpart Collins Omondi also lamented over missed chances by his players but was hopeful of better results when they resume their Division II matches. “We played well but we were not clinical in the final third. We were creative but finishing was our major undoing. We will look to rectify the mistakes we made before we resume our league matches,” he said.
The University’s stars of the day were Stephen Doyak and Austin Ochieng who were on target to secure the 2-+0 result as the gents prepare for the next game.
