Following the recent placement of students by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), Zetech University is set to hold an informative career exhibition to educate and advise students eager to join university to further their studies.
The university has over the years been in the forefront in organising such forums to shed light to learners as well as provide career advice, to aid them in making informed decisions about higher education. Earlier this year, the university held a similar event in the Nairobi and Kiambu Counties in an effort to enrich young students with the knowledge they require.
The event, which will take place at the August 7th Memorial Park in the Nairobi CBD from Tuesday, 17th-19th April, welcomes students and guardians to attend and gain insights on courses offered at the University and the necessary qualifications.
Commenting on the timely event, Moses Maina, Registrar in charge of Academic Affairs noted the need for institutions to reach out to Kenyans on opportunities available, even for those who did not attain the C+ grade in the 2017 KSCE examinations. “It is important that learners are advised on what choices they can pursue to start their higher education; the Zetech Career Expo is designed to furnish Kenyans on what is available for them.” Moses said.
The expo comes at a time when the university’s May intake in is ongoing, andtargets students who do not want to waste any more time at crossroads on which University to attend or what course to pursue. Moreover, the three day session will include a rare chance to engage with Faculty members who are equipped to advise participants on the expectations of each career as well as a free nutrition checkupthat will be managed by the
Varsity Nutrition department.
As not many parents and students are clear on opportunities in university and what options they can pursue with regard to grades attained, Kenyans are encouraged to take advantage of the free event that will run from 9:00am-5:00pm.
