On Friday 16th November, 2018 Zetech University held its Graduation ceremony where more than 1400 students graduating with degrees and diplomas.
During the Graduation, 24 graduates were awarded for topping their class for attaining exemplary performance. This highlight of the event as received lots of applause from the graduating class as they cheered their colleagues on.
An elated Alex Mumo was awarded the Best Overall student and was appointed the Valedictorian of the graduating class. The Bachelor of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (BPSM) graduate attained a first class and was acknowledged for effectively balancing his academics with extracurricular initiatives.
When given an opportunity to speak, he said, “I am glad I opted for Zetech because the course units are tailored to meet the market needs. I am grateful for the privilege to be picked as the best student and I must admit that 3 years later, the quality of education I have received was beyond my expectations. Thank you Zetech.”
Grace Wanjiku, who received her award from Chief Guest Prof. Olive Mugenda for being the most promising Student in the Hospitality Department, was excited at the opportunity to interact with the seasoned academician while receiving her award. Grace, who was named the best Intern at Crowne Plaza, Airport Hotel and later employed, esteemed the faculty and fellow students for the support she received during her studies. .

These awards that serve to appreciate excellent students and motivate current learners were sponsored by the University partners including: KCB, Barclays Bank, Frewin Insurance, Open Data, Jowath Tents, Styleline Designs, Jack Insurance, Roan Services, EcoTech Engineering and the Ruiru Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Simon Kinga’ra.
The Ultimate Gift
The students were not the only one who were showered with gifts. Prof. Olive Mugenda, the chief guest was presented with a 3D painting by Tourism Management student and artist Joash Machie. This was a show of appreciation to the Professor for taking time to grace the ceremony and inspire the Zetech fraternity.

Appreciating the gift, Prof. Mugenda lauded Machie for the splendid work and celebrated the Zetech students for their excellence, talent and commitment displayed in ensuring they effectively invent their future.
