A poised and beautiful Eunice Mayiamei freezes when she hears what sounds like her name being called out by judges at the hotly contested Miss Tourism Kajiado 2018 pageant. Eunice, who is passionate about modelling, was hesitant to participate in the celebrated fete but was elated when she was crowned Miss Tourism -Kajiado County.
The Procurement and Supplies Management student at Zetech University was crowned the title after impressing in all the categories and handling the question and answer session like a pro.
Commenting on what turned out to be a life changing affair, Miss Mayiamei celebrated the automatic entry to the Miss Tourism Kenya 2018 contest, noting that the win was a pleasant surprise. “I believed I would do well but I did not think I would win the top prize. I want to thank my family, friends and the Zetech fraternity for believing in me and pushing me to compete. I look forward to a great experience as I serve Kajiado County.” said an elated Eunice, when she paid a courtesy call to the University Vice Chancellor’s office.
She participated in the Miss Tourism Kenya 2018 title in October, slightly missing the top prize. She however was grateful for the opportunity to take part in the national contest which she described as an unforgettable experience. “I was able to gain more experience and learn from the judges and training team and I am thankful that I was picked to contest.” She said.
The Samantha bridal model will travel around the Country and later to New York as Miss Kajiado County as she serves he Country; additionally, she is looking to work with the less able in society and spearhead projects that will empower the community.
VC Prof. Njenga Munene lauded Eunice for pursuing her dreams and encouraged her to be diligent in all she does in order to succeed in life. He reminded her to strike a balance between her academics and the different expectations of the Miss Kajiado Title.
