Large numbers noted as students line up for registration
On 4th January, new faces trickled into the Zetech University, Thika Road Campus. Students from all over the country gathered at the institution to make an important step to better their future as they registered for various courses. Registration has been ongoing as learners prepare for their campus journey.
Freshman year is a chance to redefine oneself, to challenge assumptions and lay the foundation for the rest of your life. Many of the students were accompanied by parents and guardians whom we interacted with, enlightening them on the orientation and registration processes and why they made the right choice in opting for Zetech.
Ready to learn
We spoke to a few students, who were thrilled to join us. Malavenda Mwikali, a student who has enrolled for a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management course, was one of the many excited students, “I am proud to be at Zetech. I came to know about the University from a friend who recently graduated. She gave me the advice that Zetech is the best institution for the BScHTM course and I decided to join this January,” said Malavenda. She went on to advice all students looking for a University to try Zetech to enjoy quality education, friendly personnel and a conducive learning environment.
Others shared that the Administration department was friendly and supportive as they handled hundreds of new students and their guardians, from the application process to registration and orientation, lauding the Varsity for the ease in the entire process.
On her part, Assistant Registrar- Admissions Julian Ndombi said, “We are very excited as we welcome our new students. We want them to be comfortable and free to ask any queries they may have as they settle in.” She appreciated the new trainees for their cooperation that made the process smooth and effective.
During the orientation, the students were treated to entertainment by current students and awarded with writing materials and refreshments.
Indeed, as new students settle in, our advice is, “Don’t compare yourself to other students. Focus on your academics, choose the right company and explore clubs and societies where you can identify and develop your unique talent. We wish you all the best as you begin your journey at Zetech University.
