From Graduate to CEO, Zetech alumni shares his amazing story
Meet Fabrice Mugabe, a 26-year-old, who is of Rwandese Nationality, and an alumnus of Zetech University. He is the founder and the brains behind Mougra Limited, a software development and consultancy firm based in Nairobi, Kenya.
“Having a University that cares for all your needs as you invent your future is an indispensable motive one needs to succeed and for me that was Zetech University provided.” said Mugabe.
With the outbreak of Covid 19 in Kenya, he used his background as a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student to develop an application that helped survey and perform contact tracing with the intent of monitoring the spread of the pandemic in the country.
Designed to succeed
Fabrice, a young and resolute guy whose aim is to succeed at all costs, is proud to have represented the University in media facing interviews to talk about innovations he had contributed to, as the University launched its Innovation Hub is 2019. These efforts led to recognition during his stay here at Zetech, where he was scooped the Esther Muchemi Entrepreneur of the Year award during the graduation ceremony held in the year 2020. This award was accompanied with financial benefits and an opportunity to access resourceful support for his innovations.
With the love of what you do and having your vision written on a clean slate, then nothing can make you not achieve your dreams and actualize them to the fullest, Mugabe says. He adds that his experience at Zetech taught him to be tough and aggressive in what he did, and his is grateful to the VC and the DVC, Academics, Research, Extension and Student Affairs for believing in his dream and giving him the opportunity to shine.
His final words to all first years and the entire Zetech Fraternity is for them to, “embrace humility and prepare themselves for their future.”
