Diploma in Office Management

Programme Overview

Diploma in Office Management is a four semester program. The courses in the program have been selected to give broad coverage of the functional areas of Office Management. The program has been designed to meet the needs of people with work experience in procurement or in government and private sector employment.

Target Groups

  • Students from any discipline who wish to start a career in purchasing and supplies or procurement-related disciplines or others who are currently working in other occupations and wish to switch to procurement.
  • Managers in any business functional areas who wish to acquire knowledge and skills in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
  • Serves as a prerequisite to entering Bachelor of Purchasing and Supplies Management program in Zetech University.

Entry Requirements

Be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C with C- in Mathematics and C- in English


A minimum Credit pass in Certificate in Purchasing and Supplies Management (CPS) from Zetech College or any other recognized institution with at least KCSE aggregate grade C- or KCE Div. III


Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.

Programme Duration and Structure

a)Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management shall be offered in two academic years with four semesters. The first academic year will comprise of ten (10) course units, and the second academic year will have ten (10) units plus Project and attachment.

b)The programme will run for four (4) semesters. The period of the project work will be part of the programme duration and will considered as having two (2) course units.

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Students are expected to have mastered the relevant skills to enable them become key players in the development of purchasing and supplies in Kenya and regionally.
  • Students should now be conversant with knowledge, skills and competence required for them to make professional contribution to the management of a business.
  • Students should by now able to liaise easily with professional bodies to jointly influence quality and scope of training in purchasing and supplies.
