A chat with an ICT finalist Peter Mbugua
This week, we catch up with Peter Mbugua aka Jades, a Government-sponsored student who has just finished his final exams and is waiting to graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The networking and aspiring CEO in an IT company is a software developer and a website manager.
ZU: Former high school?
Elburgon Secondary School in Nakuru County.
ZU: Why do you love Zetech?
I have loved Zetech since I joined in 2017 after being told about it by a friend. As a premier private university with a serene environment, I have enjoyed uninterrupted learning putting me ahead of my peers as l await graduation in November this year fully equipped to face the job market. During this period, I have enjoyed doing my online degree.
ZU: What other activities did you engage in besides academics?
I served as an active member of Zetech University Christian Union to inspire my peers and also in the Mentorship Club by encouraging the youth. Additionally, l served in the Zetech University Student Association where I was a parliamentarian.
ZU: Any unique thing in your academic journey while at the University?
I must appreciate the University for advancing online learning. This has been the best experience as it has helped me to save time and use it to come up with great ideas in the world of IT.
ZU: Final word?
A special thanks to Zetech for allowing me to undertake my attachment within the University. I served in the Dean of Student Affairs office; I also got to work hand in hand with the website administrator to exercise my skills in the area of expertise.
