1. The food Science and nutrition curriculum prepares students for employment in the food industry or in government in such areas as quality assurance, product development, research, food inspection, food plant management and consumer education.
Be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C (Plain) with C- in Mathematics and C- in English
Be a holder of KCE Division II with at least Credit in both Mathematics and English except where specific programme requirements for cluster subjects are different in which case the programme requirements shall apply
Be a holder of an A’ level qualification with a minimum of two subsidiary passes or equivalent.
· Learn the importance of early eating habits in shaping later eating behavior and health status.
· Understand how food nourishes the body.
Develop skills to assess and apply nutrition standards and guidelines for achieving optimum human nutrition and health.
